Unexpected: What Happened To Lilly Bennett After Season 1 Of TLC Show

Lilly Bennett was young and naïve when she appeared on Unexpected season 1. She said in her first interview, “I didn’t know it was so easy to get pregnant.” Well, she learned. She tried navigating being a teen mom with her baby daddy James, but ultimately it was too much. James left.

Throughout her time on the show, Lilly hoped that her boyfriend James would step up and support her. When she suggested going to Lamaze classes to prepare her for labor and delivery, James reluctantly agreed. However, he left halfway through one lesson. James insisted that because he had 6 siblings, he knew what to do, and the Unexpected Season 1 cast member called the classes a waste of money.

Things seemed to get better when James gave Lilly a promise ring after the birthing class incident. This soothed her worries for a while and their relationship improved. Although the couple hoped that they would last forever, the pressures of being young parents were too much for them. After James left, Lilly had her young daughter Aaliyah to take care of. She eventually started dating Lawrence, and when she told Lawrence she was pregnant with his child, he was scared. However, he didn’t pull a Jovi Dufren and tell her she was lying. See Lily with her kids below:

Lilly is currently on the recent season of Unexpected with her new boyfriend Lawrence, and she is expecting their baby boy. The baby was born back in November 2020. Throughout her pregnancy, she and her partner disagreed on a lot of things, such as the baby getting circumcised, but Lawrence was still her rock. In her second pregnancy, she had a supportive boyfriend, and that was something that she lacked the first time around.
