Young parents Bella Vaughn and Hunter Johnson, stars of TLC‘s series Unexpected, have ended their engagement, 15 months after the birth of their son, Vaughn has confirmed.
“This is the video I have been asked to make a million times, and to finally address it. Yes, we did break up,” she said in a recent post. “I won’t go into detail why, but he lied to me and hurt my feelings, and, two days later, was talking to someone new. It was not a big deal, so. There was no drama, no tea behind it, it was not because Bubba’s not his.”
Vaughn’s mother, Falen, appeared alongside her in the video.
“We know that you guys have been asking for a while, and she was finally ready to address it, so here it is,” she said. “They are going to co-parent and do what’s best for Bubba.”
Her daughter promised, “always,” as Wesley fussed in the background.
Vaughn also asked her roughly 84,000 followers not to hold any grudges.
“Please don’t go attacking anyone at all, including us, because it’s fine,” Vaughn said. “I am better off on my own.”

The two were one of several couples featured in the seventh season of the show, which premiered in February.
In its official description, the network describes Unexpected as “a raw look at teenage pregnancies and the impact on their families.”
The couple announced their wedding news just last month, following years of dating. She was 12 and he was 10 when they were first romantically linked, and she discovered she was pregnant the same year.
“From promise ring to engagement ring, I’ll forever love you, Hunter Wesley, Vaughn wrote on social media, “and I can’t wait to spend the rest of our lives together.”
“I was worried about how things were gonna turn out once Bubba arrived,” the grandmother said. “But over the last year, Bella has matured and grown up, and Hunter has grown up a lot. He still hates school, but he does go.”
Johnson’s own mother, Stacie, also said he had matured.
“I have seen Hunter grow from literally a little boy-child who didn’t really have a clue to a young man who’s really learning how to do things and be a parent and learn how to show up and be there,” she said.
