Controversial Unexpected star Hunter Johnson’s father asked a judge to restrict his 14-year-old son from living with his girlfriend and her family, according to a new report.
Hunter was just 12 years old when his girlfriend, Bella, got pregnant.
In an effort to remove Hunter from the “unstable and unwholesome environment,” Casey Johnson began fighting for full custody of his son in April 2025, according to court documents obtained by The Ashley.
According to the outlet, Hunter’s father received temporary joint custody in November. The order also restricts Hunter from living with Bella and her family, the outlet reported.
Hunter and Bella’s journey to parenthood is currently playing out on the newest season of the TLC reality series.
“I was 12 when I found out I was going to be a dad. Now I’m 13,” Hunter said during a confessional shown in the trailer for the season. “I did not think I would be finishing 8th grade and becoming a dad at the same time.”
The couple welcomed son Wesley in March 2025.
