On today’s The Young and the Restless recap:
Victor Reminds Claire He Is All-Knowing
Claire arrives at the ranch to see Victor. She learned from both her grandmother and Kyle the Abbott family is shutting down Jabot to protect it from him. Victor is more than evasive saying shutting down Jabot has nothing to do with him. Claire pushes about the AI program but Victor won’t budge. Claire won’t back down and brings up the hit piece Newman Media unleashed on Jabot where the dragged both Jack and the company.
Victor, again, won’t comment but wonders why she cares as she and Kyle are history. He pivots and asks why the duo broke up but Claire is on to his game… but then relents saying she doesn’t know where things stand with Kyle for now as she has been questioning her life a bit. Victor pivots AGAIN saying Holden doesn’t hold the answers to her questions. Claire grins at her all-knowing grandfather as he says nothing gets by him.
Kyle Questions His Devotion to Claire on The Young and the Restless
Kyle and Jack are talking about the status of his situation with Claire the Abbott mansion. Kyle says he has no doubt about their relationship but has no clue about Claire’s feelings. Jack thinks she needs more time but Kyle wonders if she wants something he can’t give. He goes on to describe what happened in Los Angeles with Holden. She was totally into the L.A. scene and detached. Kyle wonders why he continues to push so hard for their reconciliation.

Nikki Questions Walking Out on Victor on The Young and the Restless
Nikki and Victoria are having a serious conversation at Society. Victoria is surprised to learn her mother threatened to leave her father to try and stop him from decimating Jabot. Nikki admits the situation escalated quickly but also says Victor’s hatred of Jack stems from finding her in that hotel room with Jack more than a year ago.
The reality is Jack saved her life that night but Nikki notes how Victor thinks he almost killed her. Nikki says Victor was livid after her ultimatum and told her the door was open if she wanted to leave. Victoria wonders if her mother now regrets taking such a strong stand (Stay strong, Nikki!).

Traci Abbott Returns Home in Nick of Time
In Tuesday’s episode, Diane (Susan Walters) is frantically checking her phone. She sent Michael (Christian Le Blanc) a text message, asking what he found about Victor (Eric Braeden).
Traci (Beth Maitland) returns home at the right time. She’s already aware of what’s happening with the Abbotts, thanks in part to that hit piece released by Newman Media.
Diane informed Traci that she has Michael helping them. She refuses to back down to Victor. But she doesn’t just need Michael’s help. She also needs Traci’s help with saving the Abbott Christmas.
Traci’s Message Means Everything
Traci returned to New York this year after her fiancé, Alan (Christopher Cousins), was revealed to be his evil twin brother. She’s been on the show here and there, mostly returning home for holidays and special occasions.
Y&R viewers will be ecstatic to hear that she’s finally getting her own storyline, even if it’s just for the holiday season. It’s up to her to save the Abbott Christmas, as the family is in shambles over the Jabot shutdown and the news coming out.
Traci feels good to be able to help her family. However, she told Diane that she thinks she’s the fighter that the family needs right now. They’re lucky to have her on their side.
Traci is the perfect person to remind Diane to embrace the spirit of the season. It’s a simple message that could make a significant shift. The Abbotts need to remember that it’s important to fight for what matters most.
The family needs to focus on what they have during this time, which is each other. Nothing will be able to tear them apart, not even The Mustache.
