If you’re a fan of TLC’s Unexpected and have watched the last few seasons, there is no way anyone could forget Kylen and Jason.
Like Teen Mom and its many spinoffs, Unexpected is a reality TV show documenting teenage pregnancies, focusing on these young couples’ relationships as they navigate early parenthood.
Even when the stars of shows like Unexpected grow up, fans take issue with their behavior, but a staple of such shows is the inevitable conflict which stems from the initial youthful naïveté of its cast members.
Innocently made bad decisions are another routine aspect of shows like Unexpected, but Kylen’s partner Jason became so horribly memorable for going above and beyond on that count — and for displaying egregiously harmful behavior when Kylen was giving birth to their first child.
Jason Was So Out Of Line He Got Kicked Out Of The Hospital
In an absolutely harrowing episode of Unexpected back in 2022, Kylen went into labor and readied to deliver the baby.
Kylen and Jason eventually arrived at the facility, and Jason continued exhibiting controlling behavior — and on top of that, he was clearly out of his depth, uninformed about labor and delivery, and terrifyingly unwilling to listen to anyone with applicable knowledge.
Jason bullied Kylen over routine, non-invasive interventions like an epidural, using profane language, insulting her, and calling her a “drug addict” while she was in labor.
Ultimately, Jason was kicked out of the hospital, but not before angering the midwives, the doctors, and every single person watching at home.
