- Bella Vaughn and her boyfriend Hunter Johnson are struggling to find a method of preventing unplanned pregnancies, with Bella refusing to take birth control and Hunter suggesting anal sex as an alternative.
TLC’s Unexpected stars Bella Vaughn and her boyfriend, Hunter Johnson, appear to have hit a roadblock when it comes to intimacy that doesn’t result in another unplanned pregnancy.
During the Monday, March 23, episode of the reality TV series, producers asked Bella, 15, and her sister, Emi, what they planned to do to prevent unplanned pregnancies in the future. (Emi, 19, also recently became a teen mom.)
“Condoms? Ovulation tests?” Bella replied.
Both of the girls’ parents then said, “Birth control!” simultaneously. However, Bella’s mom, Falen Vaughn, said that “she refuses” to take the medicine.
“The side effects are stupid and knowing me, I’d probably be unlucky and get every single one,” Bella explained.
While her dad, Kris Vaughn, said his choice would be for Bella to simply abstain, Hunter, 13, had a different idea, according to Bella.
“Hunter would love to do butt sex because he thinks that is a way to prevent pregnancy and he doesn’t want to wear a condom,” she told the cameras. “But we’re not doing anal sex. That is a one-way poop shoot.”
While Bella’s parents and Emi seemed wildly uncomfortable hearing her talk about anal sex in front of them and the production crew, viewers online were just as disgusted.
“How is Bella so confident talking about this in front of her family?? Ew!” one person wrote via X.
“Let Hunter spend a full week with his newborn son without any help from anyone and get a job,” another person added. “I guarantee he will be fine with a condom.”
