Many of us have experienced an awkward first date or two but Bold & Beautiful’s Ashley Jones just took awkward to a whole other level. The CBS soap star posted two videos about her alter ego and gave followers a peek into her idea of a few first dates for Bridget — and boy, we’d love to see the face of the guys at the other end of the conversations.
In the first video labeled “soap characters on a first date,” Jones got into character as Bridget gave her date a rundown on her character… “I was married. Yeah, we were in love. We were married a couple of times, actually. But the problem was he was in love with my mother — that was the main issue.” After giving him the lowdown on Nick and Brooke, she continued, “His mom was dating a much younger guy, like this boy toy kind of thing. I had an affair with boy toy and that’s my son. He’s so sweet. He’s amazing. You would love him. His name is Logan, he’s like perfect. So, that guy that I was telling you about — that I was married to — I think he’s in Italy with my mom right now. I don’t think my mom is in love with him though. That’s the problem.”
Jones then asked fans, “Barely scraped the surface. What’d I miss?” The actor who played Owen, the father of Bridget’s son, Brandon Beemer (Days of Our Lives, Shawn), thought her post was hysterical and jumped into the comments to send the actress a bunch of laughing and applaud emojis, to which she replied, “No surgery today so phone will be on and ready.”
And in the next dating video, Jones asked if followers thought Bridget’s “next first date” would lead to a second… “Well, I’m a doctor… I love being a doctor. I actually started out as a model because my father owns one of the biggest fashion houses in the world. But I didn’t love it… I really always felt like I wanted to be helping other people and be a doctor. I started out as an internationally renowned fertility specialist, people came from all over the world. It was amazing… The problem was, I put my mother’s eggs in the wrong woman, it was a big mishap at the hospital. I don’t even know if it was really my fault but I stopped doing fertility and now I just do heart surgery, brain surgery, mainly on family members but I did just get a bullet out of someone. I thought we were successful, we did such a good job but she died anyway. What do you do?”
In regard to that surgery, Jones’ castmate Naomi Matsuda (Li) joked, “I don’t even know if it was really my fault.” And we all know what that means given that Li snuck Luna out of the hospital and is keeping her alive.
