s the star of Sullivan’s Crossing, Morgan Kohan is used to being in front of the camera. And three seasons in, it’s clear she knows what works to draw audiences into loving her character, Maggie Sullivan. But what about the moments when she’s not on set? As it turns out, she has some thoughts about making sure she always looks great … and it starts with using products that make her feel good.
“Sleep is my number one. But also, there are so many products out there and a wealth of information on what to do for beauty and skincare. It can become too much for me, so I like to keep everything simple,” she told us.
Good Housekeeping caught up with the actress ahead of the Sullivan’s Crossing season 3 finale airing on the CW. She broke down the must-haves she always keeps with her, and explained how her approach to beauty and skincare goes beyond the products she likes to use.
Morgan is naturally a redhead, which means finding products that match the color of her hair and eyebrows may be difficult. Luckily, she discovered that Glossier Boy Brow comes in an auburn shade, which is perfect for her fair skin.
“I can’t find another good brow gel with a hint of that red warmth in there,” she noted. “I have, like, four tubes of this on the go, currently.”
When the Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab tested Glossier Boy Brow as part of our roundup of the best eyebrow gels, the editor go-to was selected as the best shaping eyebrow gel.
As someone who likes to keep her skincare “pretty basic” when she travels, Morgan loves to have the Tower 28 SOS Facial Spray in her toiletries case whenever she’s on-the-go.
Turns out, the Tower 28 Facial Spray isn’t just great to use for skincare. The Good Housekeeping Institute Beauty Lab chose the product as the best setting spray for sensitive skin, with our tester noting, “I reach for it as both a primer and a setting spray.”
Along with the Tower 28 SOS Facial Spray, Morgan also swears by the Tower 28 SOS Daily Barrier Recovery Cream. As for the reason for it, the actress loves to have it on hand when she’s having a difficult moment with her skin.
“I really like the Tower 28 line because I feel like that’s very clean,” she added. I actually put both on this morning because my skin was freaking out before.”
