Get your champagne ready, Days of Our Lives fans, because the Peacock sudser isn’t going anywhere! It’s been two years since we got the news that the show would be continuing through its 60th and 61st seasons and a lot has happened in that time. We’ve lost beloved cast members, the writers have switched over and the soap went through some behind-the-scenes upheaval.
But none of that has dampened enthusiasm or brought the sudser down. Because Peacock has released the news that Days of Our Lives has been renewed for another two years, taking us through the show’s 63rd season. Hey, 75 years, here we come!
OK, OK, maybe we shouldn’t look ahead quite that much. As Mark Harding over on X/Twitter put it, “Very happy to know that Days might make it to Social Security age… though that’s still a bit down the road!” Well, it’s only two years beyond the latest renewal, so not too far down!

And it’s clear that Peacock is more than happy with the show’s performance on top of that confidence in vision. According to the official release, Days of Our Lives has consistently ranked among the top 15 entertainment series on the streaming platform since it moved over nearly three years ago in September 2022. That’s pretty major when you consider just how much content and series are on Peacock for viewers to sort through.
Plus, as they pointed out, Days of Our Lives’ incredible 13 Emmy Nominations this year is a major highpoint since its move to streaming.
In the short term, Days of Our Lives‘ summer preview teaser has given us plenty to look forward to, from Johnny’s trial and fallout, to what looks like a major story for Marlena. And this fall is the show’s big 60th anniversary celebration, which means the returns are just going to keep coming!
So Days of Our Lives fans can rest easy knowing their soap opera isn’t going anywhere — and has not just survived, but thrived in moving to streaming.
