Teenagers Bella Vaughn and Hunter Johnson from TLC’s Unexpected are engaged.
Bella, 16, announced the engagement news to Johnson, 14, on her Instagram on Wednesday, May 6, alongside photos of her new ring, according to TMZ.
She reportedly posted a picture of her left hand with the words, “now the best thing about my left hand…,” and then added another snap of a certain ring on that finger with the words, “is a ring on it, from the right man 🤍.”
In the second photo she shared, the square-shaped diamond engagement ring with a gold band could be seen on full display. A smaller hand, likely belonging to her and Johnson’s son Wes could be seen touching the ring.

This comes amid the new season of TLC’s Unexpected, which is a show that is described as taking “a raw look at teenage pregnancies and the lives of teen parents as they prepare for their babies.”
The season follows the birth of the teen’s son and their lives moving forward as they take care of the child. In the latest season of the show, Bella is 15-years-old, while Hunter is 13.
In a March Instagram post, Bella revealed how she found out that she “was pregnant at 14,” and shared that she found out about the pregnancy because she had been tracking her periods at the time.
Bella said she took a test because her period would come every 28 days “on the dot” and for the first time it didn’t, which prompted the pregnancy test. She explained that she wrote down in her notes while keeping track of her periods that the “condom broke” on that date.
“For everyone who thinks I baby trapped Hunter, tell me what you think now,” she said before noting that she told her boyfriend’s mother the following day about the positive pregnancy test.
She explained that she also told Hunter at the time, and said that if he wasn’t able to step up as a parent that she would be able to do it “on my own.” “He said and I quote, ‘I want to raise a family with you,’ ” Bella recalled.
“He chose to stay,” she added.
